Following the success of our Spring Speaker Series we are proud to announce the Fall Speaker Series

On Wednesday October 28 we will hear from Lenny Delmedico from the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC). He’s a great speaker and knows his stuff. Nothing is worth more than your home so no one will want to miss this opportunity!  At the Lorne Park Library at 7 to 8.30pm

On Wednesday November 25 our speaker is Her Worship the Mayor of Mississauga, Bonnie Crombie. As most of us have not met her, this is a great opportunity to get up close and personal. Location to be confirmed


We Welcome Queen Street Area to the Association

We have spread our borders to include the residents of Queen Street from Lorne Park Road to Sweetwater Crescent and the Lakeshore to the South. Please join us and enjoy all that we have to offer.


It is Election Time

Hot off the press, your Association along with other South West Mississauga Ratepayers Associations are hosting an All Candidates Meeting to enable you to hear what they stand for. Questions from the Panel and the audience.

October 6th at the Clarkson Secondary School Auditorium at 7pm. More information closer to the date but keep this evening free!


Upcoming Election of the Association Executive

Article 1X of the constitution of the Whiteoaks Lorne Park Community Association indicates that not less than 10 days before our AGM the names of all of the candidates being recommended for election as Directors and Officers must be presented to members. In accordance with the constitution, this newsletter is serving the purpose of notifying the membership of the date and time of the Annual General Meeting and is presenting the Report of the Nomination Committee for the one-year term 2015-2016 as follows:

Directors            Dina Bernardo, Alberto Calva, Christine DeBruin, Ralph Hafer, Jason Kinder, Theresa Mutlak, Todor Yordanov

There is no VP at this moment. No Past President

Members wishing to propose another person (s) to be elected as Director(s) must do so by submitting in writing to the secretary ( before Wednesday September 23 the name of the proposed Director(s), the name of the members who are nominating and seconding their nomination and the agreement in writing of the person(s) being proposed to accept the office of Director(s) if elected at the AGM Meeting on Monday September 28th, 2015.

If there are more than 14 persons nominated to serve as Directors there shall be a vote by secret ballot for Directors. Only paid up members can vote and each member shall cast only one ballot. Proxies will not be recognised. The 14 nominees receiving the largest number of votes shall be duly elected and shall assume office following the elections.

If the Secretary receives no nominations papers within the prescribed time, the Chair of the

Annual General Meeting may with an approval of a majority of those present, dispense with a secret ballot and ask those present to accept the Report of the Nomination Committee.

Within 30 days of the Annual General Meeting, a meeting of Directors shall be held to confirm the election of Officers.
